Samsung Galaxy Note II N7100 Rooting + CWM (included LTE N7105), UnRoot and Reset Flash Counter

OK, again, if you dunno what is root , dunno what you’re doing, May I please ask you stop reading and quit right now.

 

Download :

1) Odin 1.85 for PC ( dun ask me about mac/linux ….)

2) According your device model to download :

GT-N7100 (3G) : CF-Auto-Root-t03g-gtn7100.zip
GT-N7105 (LTE) : CF-Auto-Root-t0lte-gtn7105.zip

SHV-E250K: CF-Auto-Root-t0ltektt-shve250k.zip
SHV-E250L: CF-Auto-Root-t0ltelgt-shve250l.zip
SHV-E250S: CF-Auto-Root-t0lteskt-shve250s.zip

3) Option :

CWM Recovery(Flash via odin): cwm6-recovery-n7100-121014.tar

Let’s Root it !

– Unzip the attached Odin3-v1.85.zip file
– Download and unzip the CF-Auto-Root-….zip file (you’ve donwloaded in step 1)
– If you end up with a recovery.img and cache.img file, you’ve extracted twice. You need to end up with a .tar.md5 file – don’t extract that one
– (USB) Disconnect your phone from your computer
– Start Odin3 v1.85.exe
– Click the PDA button, and select CF-Auto-Root-….tar.md5
– Put your phone in Download mode (turn off phone, then hold Vol Down+Home+Power to boot – if it asks you to press a button to continue, press the listed button, or run adb reboot download command)
– (USB) Connect the phone to your computer
Make sure Repartition is NOT checked
– Click the Start button
– Wait for Android to boot
– Done (if it took you more than 30 seconds, you need practise!)

 

CWM Recovery Flashing :

– (USB) Disconnect your phone from your computer
– Start Odin3 v1.85.exe
– Click the PDA button, and select cwm6-recovery-n7100-121014.tar
– Put your phone in Download mode (turn off phone, then hold Vol Down+Home+Power to boot – if it asks you to press a button to continue, press the listed button, or run adb reboot download command)
– (USB) Connect the phone to your computer
Make sure Repartition is NOT checked
– Click the Start button
– Wait for Android to boot
– Done (if it took you more than 30 seconds, you need practise!)

 

Reset Flash Counter :

– Download and install TriangleAway from Android
– Run it
– Click “Reset flash counter” and it will reboot , check screen then it will reset again then done.

 

How to revert it to unroot with 0 Flash Counter ( Official Status ) :

– Download Official Firmware here : http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/
– If you flashed a Custom Kernel, Please flash it back official kernel first
– Run TriangleAway , and reset once.
– After flashed Official Kernel, Run SuperSU, Settings, Full Unroot.
– Then reboot into Recovery Mode, (turn off phone, then hold Vol UP+Home+Power to boot )
– Choose “Recovery Wipe Data” then turn off phone.
– Start Odin3 v1.85.exe
– Click the PDA button, and select N7105ZHALJ4_N7105ZZHALJ4_N7105ZHALJ4_HOME.tar.md5 ( Normally just one file )
– Put your phone in Download mode (turn off phone, then hold Vol Down+Home+Power to boot – if it asks you to press a button to continue, press the listed button, or run adb reboot download command)
– (USB) Connect the phone to your computer
Make sure Repartition is NOT checked
– Click the Start button
– Wait for Android to boot
– Done (if it took you more than 30 seconds, you need practise!)
